Disrupting systems for global sustainability
The most recent Futures CoLab activity—Disrupting Systems for Global Sustainability—generated ideas about leverage points for systems-level changes that could steer the world toward global sustainability.
This exercise formed the first step in developing a Research and Innovation Agenda—Digital Disruptions for Sustainability (the D^2S Agenda)—as part of a broader, Future Earth-led initiative: Sustainability in the Digital Age.
The three-week Futures CoLab process resulted in a ranked list of systemic disruptions and leverage points which have the highest potential to lead us down a path towards global sustainability.
The exercise took place from March 4 to 24, 2019 and involved 178 expert participants from a broad diversity of backgrounds.
